I felt the need to write to you in view of today’s publication regarding Care in the UK. It makes me realise how lucky and privileged we are to have my mother’s care in your capable hands. Our experience is the absolute opposite of what is being reported. Our care is consistent, and truly caring in every sense of the word. We have the same Carers week in and week out. Your staff are in the profession because care runs through their veins, not for monetary reward or otherwise. It makes my blood boil when all I ever read about your profession is adverse comments, when the reality for me is overwhelmingly the opposite.
Congratulations to you and the team. Well done. May you continue to go from strength to strength. I know how hard you have to work to get the end result you do. Thank you for yet another year of continued support. I am ever grateful.
I feel that I must write this letter to tell you how much I appreciate the care and compassion shown to me by the carer who looks after me. Two years ago after an accident and stay in hospital where I experienced a nasty time, the thought of having carers for the first time in my life I found this quite frightening, also after the tales I had heard about them.
How wrong I was! Whether I have been lucky I don’t know but, June, Bev, Cathy Cavita & Nicky have changed my mind. I only hope they are appreciated by their employers.
