Make a Difference

Working in care is a popular career choice, as you can make a direct and immediate difference to the lives of others. Joining Westminster Homecare will open the door to a challenging but rewarding career that offers immense job satisfaction.

We are always looking for highly motivated, compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team; the calibre of our Care Practitioners is essential to the quality of the support we provide.

We value our staff and are committed to providing excellent opportunities through ongoing training and development and internal career progression.

As a Care Practitioner, you will undertake one of the most important jobs in the community today; your duties may range from light domestic tasks to full personal care – by helping our Customers to carry out everyday tasks you make a big difference to their lives. Additionally, to enable our Customers to maintain their independence, you may be required to assist them to undertake activities that allow them to retain community links such as accompanying them to the shops or on days out.

Although routine is very important to our Customers, you’ll often find that no two days are the same.

We work hard to ensure that you see the same Customers regularly, providing continuity and allowing you to build up a good working relationship. We also try to match likeminded Care Practitioners and Customers so that your job becomes as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

Just a brief message to say a big thank you to Elizabeth who stepped in last week to care for my father, (Symal service user), whilst his regular carer was on leave.

Elizabeth has an incredible work ethic and gave 150 percentage to the job.  Not only did she look after our father’s physical needs, she also devoted time to ensuring he was comfortable, and treated him with dignity and humour.  Elizabeth personifies the term carer in every sense of the word.

Should your organisation award star employee, or employee of the month, Elizabeth deserves this accolade for going the extra mile.

We are extremely happy with the care our father is receiving through Westminster and would like to also thank yourself and his usual carer, Maria for all of your support and understanding in sometimes difficult situations.

I feel that I must write this letter to tell you how much I appreciate the care and compassion shown to me by the carer who looks after me.  Two years ago after an accident and stay in hospital where I experienced a nasty time, the thought of having carers for the first time in my life I found this quite frightening, also after the tales I had heard about them.

How wrong I was! Whether I have been lucky I don’t know but, June, Bev, Cathy Cavita & Nicky have changed my mind.  I only hope they are appreciated by their employers.
